Townsend Davis is a lawyer and writer living in Brooklyn. His wife, Bridget Elias, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016 at age 52. CaringKind has been a haven and guiding light for the Davis family since that time. Both Townsend and Bridget have attended numerous caregiving programs, support groups, and research talks sponsored by CaringKind. They have two sons, William and Teddy, who are in college.

Townsend has been a media lawyer for ABC News and WABC-TV (New York, NY) for 24 years, advising news clients and defending quality journalism in court. He is a graduate of Duke University and Columbia Law School. More recently, he has sought to raise awareness of the challenges faced by caregivers of spouses with early onset dementia. His essay “A Family Dinner with My Wife and Girlfriend,” was published in The New York Times in February 2024.
