Dr. Alisa Kauffman is a nationally recognized geriatric dentist whose career has been dedicated to caring for older adults with advanced cognitive decline. After teaching geriatric dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, she shifted her focus entirely to clinical care for homebound patients living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
As a full-time housecall dentist, Dr. Kauffman provides in-home dental treatment to seniors who can no longer access traditional dental offices, working closely with families and caregivers. She has extensive experience delivering care within nursing homes, assisted living communities, and memory care units, where she is known for her compassionate, adaptive approach to treating highly vulnerable patients.
Dr. Kauffman continues to advocate for greater awareness, accessibility, and specialized training in geriatric dentistry, ensuring that seniors with cognitive impairment receive the dignity-centered oral care they deserve.
