CaringKind’s Support Group Leader Training Workshops are offered several times each year and are open to health care professionals and former care partners who are interested in leading one of our support groups.
This intensive training incorporates both educational materials with experiential group learning and includes information about dementia, care-partnering and how support groups work, as well as an overview of services offered by CaringKind.

Learn to identify the risks associated with “complicated grief” in dementia caregivers along with practical strategies to provide meaningful support. Dr. Supiano bring over 40 years of clinical experience including care of older adults with depression and multiple chronic health concerns, end-of-life care, and bereavement care. Dr. Supiano discusses her latest research in pre-loss grief groups for dementia family caregivers to minimize complicated and prolonged grief.
